Title:
ELECTROWINNING METHOD FOR NON-FERROUS METAL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/031790
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a method for electrowinning a non-ferrous metal, such as zinc or copper, from an electrolytic solution that includes a sulfate of a non-ferrous metal such as zinc sulfate or copper sulfate, in a process using an anode that includes lead. In the electrowinning method for non-ferrous metal, electrowinning of the non-ferrous metal is performed using an anode on which a height differential of at least 100 µm, preferably at least 300 µm, has been formed on the surface thereof which is immersed in the electrolytic solution, whereby electrowinning of non-ferrous metals such as zinc and copper with minimal leaden appearance can be accomplished inexpensively, and electrowinning of non-ferrous metals such as zinc and copper with minimal leaden appearance can be accomplished consistently over an indefinite period of time.
