Abstract:
An endoscopic system 1 is provided with: an ultrasonic wave vibrator that outputs an electric signal by receiving ultrasonic waves; an ultrasonic wave observation device 3 that generates an ultrasonic wave image on the basis of the electric signal; a light source device 41 that supplies illumination light to be applied into a patient; a light guide member that guides the illumination light into the patient and scans, along a specific trajectory, positions of application of the illumination light into the patient in accordance with an inputted drive signal; a drive unit 44 that outputs the drive signal to the light guide member; and a processor 45 that controls operation of the drive unit 44. The ultrasonic wave observation device 3 generates the ultrasonic wave image on the basis of a signal in a specific frequency band, the signal being included in the electric signal. The processor 45 controls operation of the drive unit 44, and outputs, to the light guide member, a drive signal having a drive center frequency outside the specific frequency band.
