Abstract:
An engine (100) comprises: a stop signal output unit (2) that outputs a stop signal for stopping the engine (100); a catalyst temperature acquisition unit (36c) that acquires the catalyst temperature of a reforming catalyst (36b) in a reformer (36); and a control unit (10) that controls an intake air adjustment unit (23), a reformation air adjustment unit (32) and a reformation fuel supply unit (35) on the basis of the catalyst temperature and the stop signal. In the interval from the input of a stop signal during the operation of the engine (100) until the stopping of the engine (100), if the catalyst temperature is equal to or higher than a cleaning temperature at which it is necessary to perform a cleaning operation for suppressing the oxidative degradation of the reforming catalyst (36), the control unit (10) controls the intake air adjustment unit (23) so that the engine (100) achieves a pre-stop low load operation, and controls the reformation air adjustment unit (32) and the reformation fuel adjustment unit (35) so as to attenuate reformation in the reformer (36).
