Abstract:
This fuel cell system is provided with: a system body containing a cell stack that uses a hydrogen-containing gas to generate power; a heat recovery system that recovers heat by circulating a heating medium; and a heat supply unit for supplying a quantity of heat to the heating medium in response to a demand for heat. The fuel cell system is further provided with: a first combustion gas flow path that circulates a first combustion gas discharged from the system body; and a second combustion gas flow path that circulates a second combustion gas discharged from the heat supply unit. The heat recovery system has a heat exchanger through which the first and second combustion gases and the heating medium circulate, and said heat exchanger heats the heating medium by transferring the heat from the first and second combustion gases to the heating medium.
