Abstract:
This fuel cell system is provided with: a fuel cell which generates power upon being supplied with a fuel gas and an oxidant gas; a fuel tank for storing liquid fuel that becomes the fuel gas; an oxidant gas supply source for supplying the oxidant gas; and a supply and discharge mechanism for supplying and discharging the fuel gas and the oxidant gas to the fuel cell, the supply and discharge mechanism being connected to the fuel tank and the oxidant gas supply source. The fuel cell system is furthermore provided with: a collector for collecting vaporized fuel that is vaporized in the fuel tank; an introduction path for guiding the vaporized fuel to the collector, the introduction path being connected to the fuel tank and the collector; a discharge path for discharging the vaporized fuel collected by the collector to the supply and discharge mechanism; and and a supply path and a purge gas supply unit for supplying, to the collector, a purge gas for purging the vaporized fuel collected by the collector into the discharge path, the supply path and the purge gas supply unit being connected to the collector.
