Title:
FUNCTION MECHANISM OF GLYCEOLLIN I AND UTILIZATION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/075816
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a composition exerting an effect of inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, in particular endocrine therapy-resistant tumors, said composition comprising glyceollin I that inhibits eleanors without through ER and a polyphenol that inhibits eleanors through ER and/or a hormone as active ingredients. Further, it was clarified that glyceollin I evokes the inhibition of mitochondrial function and thus induces cell death. On the basis of these results, it becomes possible to provide a composition capable of exhibiting an effect of inhibiting the growth of cancer cells over a broader range by using glyceollin I together with a glycolysis inhibitor.
