Abstract:
A garment folding device and a control method thereof. The garment folding device comprises a garment folding platform (12) and a storage compartment. The garment folding platform (12) has a garment outlet (C) in communication with the storage compartment. Outlet cover plates (131, 132) are provided at the garment outlet (C) of the garment folding platform (12). The outlet cover plates (131, 132) are movable in a direction of a plane formed by the garment folding platform (12). The control method comprises: a garment folding device controls the garment folding platform (12) to perform a folding operation with respect to a garment; and after the garment has been folded, the garment folding device controls the outlet cover plates (131, 132) to move so as to cause the garment to enter the storage compartment via the garment outlet (C). In the garment folding device, horizontally movable outlet cover plates (131, 132) are provided at a garment outlet (C) of a garment folding unit (1), thereby preventing scattering of garments, and reducing an interior space of the garment folding device. When the outlet cover plates (131, 132) are moving, side flaps (1211, 1212) rotate to block a garment, thereby preventing displacement of the garment due to movement of the outlet cover plates (131, 132), and enabling the garment to smoothly enter the storage unit (2) from the garment folding unit (1).
