Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a high-pressure fuel pump which is configured to enable a cylinder to be affixed to the pump body using a simple structure and which is also configured to enable a reduction of the amount of radially inward displacement of the cylinder. Provided is a high-pressure fuel pump comprising: a pump body having a pressurizing chamber formed therein; and a cylinder inserted into a hole formed in the pump body. The high-pressure fuel pump is characterized in that: the cylinder is configured so that a radially outside protrusion is press-fitted, on the side opposite the pressurizing chamber, into the hole, or joined, by means of formed threads, to the hole, or joined to the hole by staking the side opposite the pressurizing chamber; and radial clearance is formed between the cylinder and the hole of the pump body in the entire region from a joint section to an upper end section.
