Abstract:
An ID card on which a high-quality face image and a clear, high-definition information are printed and which is excellent in durability of the printed surface, foil-transferability, water-resistance and peel-resistance and can maintain the information clearly for a long time and hold personal information infallibly. An ID card producing method in which an image receiving layer (3) capable of forming an image by receiving a heat-diffusible dye or an ink-jet ink is provided on a support (2) made of a polyester or a polycarbonate, a first resin layer (7) is provided in a specific area (A) on the image receiving layer by a printing method other than the wet offset printing, format information (6) is printed on the first resin layer on the specific area by the wet offset printing, a transparent second resin layer (8) is provided on the first resin layer on which the format information is printed by a printing method other than the offset printing, and an image is recorded on an area (B) except the specific area on the image receiving layer by thermal transfer of a heat-diffusible dye or by ink-jet recording.
