Abstract:
Disclosed is an illuminating device having improved luminance. A backlight device (12) is provided with: an LED (17), i.e., a light source; a light guide member (19) wherein the LED (17) is disposed to face an end portion (LE), and light emitted from the LED (17) is guided to the light output side; a pressing member (16) which can press the light guide member (19) from the light output side; and a pair of reflection sheets (21, 22) which are disposed such that the reflection sheets sandwich the LED (17) side end portion (LE) of the light guide member (19). The pair of reflection sheets (21, 22) are composed of a first reflection sheet (21) disposed on the light output side, and a second reflection sheet (22) disposed on the side opposite to the light output side, with respect to the light guide member (19), and the first reflection sheet (21) is fixed to the pressing member (16).
