Abstract:
This backlight device (illumination device) (13) is provided with: LEDs (light sources) (22); a light guide plate (24) having a light incident surface (24a) of a shape opposed to the LEDs (22) and where light from the LEDs (22) is incident, and a light exit surface (24b) where the incident light is emitted; and an optical sheet (optical member) (25) which is arranged in a form opposed to the light exit surface (24b) of the light guide plate (24) and which imparts an optical effect to the light emitted from the light exit surface (24b), wherein, in at least one portion, said optical sheet (25) includes a chromaticity correction region (30) in which the x and y chromaticity coordinate values in the CIE 1931 color space both become smaller farther away from the LEDs (22).
