Abstract:
Provided are an image capturing device and an image capturing system which are suitable for conducting a medical examination using a subject image obtained by image capturing the inside of the oral cavity. Provided is an image capturing device comprising: a main body which has a base end and a distal end, and is formed into a column shape of a prescribed length between the base end and the distal end in order to enable at least the distal end to be inserted into the oral cavity; one or a plurality of light sources which are disposed on a base end side or a distal end side of the main body, or are disposed on the main body, and are configured so as to irradiate light in a prescribed frequency band; a diffusion plate which is disposed on the base end side or the distal end side of the main body, or is disposed on the main body, and is configured so as to diffuse light irradiated from the light source toward the oral cavity; and a camera which is disposed on the base end side or the distal end side of the main body, or is disposed on the main body, and image captures a subject image on the basis of reflected light diffused from the diffusion board and reflected into the oral cavity.
