Abstract:
This invention reduces loss in transmitted light from forming an optical element underlayer film in an imaging element. This imaging element comprises a photoelectric conversion section, an optical element, and an optical element underlayer film. The photoelectric conversion section converts incoming light into an electric signal. The optical element supplies the incoming light to the photoelectric conversion section. The optical element underlayer film is provided in a layer between the optical element and the photoelectric conversion section in a region between a first opening region and a second opening region of the optical element. In addition, the optical element underlayer film may be provided in a contact region or a light-blocking region outside of an effective pixel region.
