Abstract:
A purpose of the present invention is to obtain an inductor capable of withstanding a large current at a low inductance. The inductor (10) comprises: a magnetic core (11) formed by mixing and pressure molding a magnetic material in powder form and a binder; and a flat conductor (12) embedded in the magnetic core (11) and extending linearly such that an end thereof protrudes from an end surface of the magnetic core (11). As seen in a top view, the magnetic core (11) comprises a central portion (11a) covering the flat conductor (12), side surface portions (11c) provided on both sides of the central portion (11a), and a tapered portion (11b) provided between the central portion (11a) and the side surface portions (11c), wherein the thickness of the side surface portions (11c) is thinner than the thickness of the central portion (11a).
