Abstract:

In an information processing device, a technique is provided for shortening the time when control cannot be implemented due to a program update accompanying a change of a function. The information processing device has a storage unit and a processing unit. The storage unit stores a program that includes the function, and a jump table that defines the callout of functions by the program. During execution of the program, the processing unit refers to the jump table and determines the function to be called out. During program updates accompanying changes in the function, the processing unit writes a new function, which is the function after changes, to the storage unit, and updates the jump table so as to call out the new function.
