Abstract:
This internal-combustion engine cooling system is provided with: a refrigerant flow passage through which a refrigerant flows between an internal-combustion engine and a heat exchanger; a flow rate control valve which is provided in the refrigerant flow passage and controls the flow of refrigerant flowing through the refrigerant flow passage; and a control unit which switches the flow rate control valve from a fully-open state to a fully-closed state on the basis of the supply of a negative pressure generated by the internal-combustion engine, and switches the flow rate control valve from the fully-closed state to the fully-open state over a second time period which is longer than a first time period required for the flow rate control valve to transition from the fully-closed state to the fully-open state when the negative pressure supply ceases.
