Abstract:
An internal combustion engine, whereby the combustion chamber is rectangular in shape (Fig. A-1, 2, 3), engaged within the interior space of the chamber by a member piston head, equally rectangular in shape (Fig. A and B, 7, 9, 10), the shape of which is characterized as a mushroom head, or the like, which said piston head is furnished within the structure by four in number frame assemblies contained by roller bearings, (12 to 221), arranged horizontally in reverse order, head to tail against the interior flat plates of the chamber, firmly cushioned by coil or flat springs, positioned between the frames (11 and 9) pillar-post, the arrangement of which provides complete sealing against escape or compression, and ensures containment of vacuum within the chamber, equally provides smooth and free movement, and prevents the hazard of reheating and seizure of moving components wihtin the chamber as a result of the outlined embodiments; a further feature (Fig. A, B, C, 28 and 29), is the head block and cover plate, in which the head block is furnished by a horizontal member cam-rod (31), diaphragmally cutting-off and opening the outward discharge of exhaust fumes in rotation order the intake of fuel and air through the provided three in number elbow formed tube passages (32, 33 and 34), arranged in semi transverse position within the said cam-rod, effective when in direct contact with each individual subsidiary valve hole within the head block (35, 36 and 37 Fig. A and B 28), the arrangement of which provide centralised form of distribution, the first being the exhaust of fumes, followed by the intake of fuel and air; an alternative preferred system to the elbow formed passages, is the embodiment of three in number Segment Channels within the cam-rod (Fig. C and D), the function and purpose being similar, although considered simpler in production.
