Abstract:
The present invention relates to a light source device and a measuring instrument that use a change in an electrical signal cycle corresponding to a change in the intensity of output light according to mode locking conditions for each of respectively different optical paths in a resonator, and use a time change for output light that is mode-lock resonated, and include: an electrical signal generating unit for controlling the intensity of an optical signal from the light source device; and an optical gain unit for controlling photon revolving times, corresponding to respectively different optical paths, as cyclical electrical signals having cycles which are divided into integer ratios, wherein the intensities of optical signals are controlled by the optical gain unit.
