Abstract:
This liquid crystal panel is provided with: a first glass substrate (1); a second glass substrate (2) which has a display area in the front surface and is arranged at a distance from the first glass substrate (1) such that the back surface thereof faces the front surface side of the first glass substrate (1); and a liquid crystal layer (12) which is sealed between the first glass substrate (1) and the second glass substrate (2). The first glass substrate (1) has a hanging region (10) that hangs beyond the lower end of the second glass substrate (2) and a terminal part 21 that is provided on the second glass substrate (2) side of the hanging region (10). The lower end face of the second glass substrate (2) is configured such that the front surface side of the second glass substrate (2) is lower than the back surface side of the second glass substrate (2). Consequently, the present invention is able to provide a liquid crystal panel which is suppressed in the occurrence of display failure by preventing a liquid such as a cleaning liquid from coming into contact with the hanging region (10) at the lower side of the first glass substrate (1) during the cleaning of the panel surface without application of a coating agent.
