Abstract:
Disclosed is a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus for scanning a subject. The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a scanner for forming multiple RF and gradient magnetic fields within a bore in which a subject lies, and receiving an echo signal from the subject; and a control unit for controlling the scanner according to a pulse sequence, wherein the control unit: applies at least one RF pulse and at least one space-encoding gradient pulse to the subject through the scanner; applies multiple readout gradient pulses and multiple blip pulses for acquiring multiple echo signals radiated from the subject, to the subject through the scanner; sequentially acquires multiple echo signals including different pieces of spatial information, according to the multiple blip pulses; and respectively maps the multiple echo signals to multiple k-spaces on the basis of the different pieces of spatial information.
