Abstract:
Provided are a medical image processing device and medical image diagnostic device that can, in a virtual endoscope, easily distinguish between an observed region and an unobserved region and prevent the occurrence of overlooked regions. The medical image processing device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a storage unit, a virtual endoscope image generating unit, a region specifying means, and an image generating unit. The storage unit stores 3D images of a tubular body. The virtual endoscope image generating unit uses the 3D images of the tubular body for generating virtual endoscope images which are images when the inside of the tube is observed on the basis of viewpoint positions set inside the tubular body and line of sight directions. The region specifying means uses the 3D images to determine observed regions and/or unobserved regions on the basis of the viewpoint position and the line of sight direction. The image generation unit generates an image in which the observed regions and/or the unobserved regions are identifiably displayed on the image determined from the 3D images.
