This medical stent comprises: a body made of resin which has a tip end and a base end and is formed in the shape of a tube along a longitudinal axis; a first latch member having a first fixed end fixed to the tip end side of the body, and a first free end positioned outward of the outer circumferential surface of the body in the radial direction of the body; a second latch member having a second fixed end fixed to the base end side of the body, and a second free end positioned outward of the outer circumferential surface of the body in the radial direction of the body; a reinforcing material made of metal which extends spirally around the longitudinal axis of the body between the tip end and base end of the body and is embedded between the inner circumferential surface of the body and the outer circumferential surface of the body; and a rib linked to the second fixed end and extending along the longitudinal axis. The reinforcing material has a first portion positioned and wound spirally between the first fixed end and the second fixed end, a second portion wound spirally at a pitch greater than that of the first portion, and a third portion wound spirally at a pitch greater than that of the second portion. The third portion is positioned between the rib and the inner circumferential surface of the body.
