Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for aiding highly accurate detection of pancreatic cancer. The present invention provides a method for aiding the detection of pancreatic cancer that uses, as an indicator, the amount present in a test sample isolated from a living subject of at least one molecule from among an miRNA, an isoform (isomiR) thereof, an miRNA precursor, a transfer RNA fragment (tRF), or a non-coding RNA fragment (MiscRNA) for which the base sequence is identified by any sequence from among SEQ ID NOs: 1, 4, 6–10, 12, 15, 17, 19–21, 2, 3, 5, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, and 22–38, wherein when the amount of at least one miRNA, isomiR, miRNA precursor, or transfer RNA fragment for which the base sequence is identified by any sequence from among SEQ ID NOs: 1–20 is higher than that of a healthy subject, or when the amounts of miRNAs, isomiRs, miRNA precursors, or non-coding RNA fragments (MiscRNAs) for which the base sequences are SEQ ID NOs: 21–38 are lower than those of a healthy subject, there is a high possibility of developing pancreatic cancer.
