Embodiments of the present application provide a method and apparatus for determining a positioning mode, a terminal device, and a network device. The method comprises: a terminal device determines a target positioning mode from a plurality of positioning modes on the basis of measurement information and/or a selection condition, the measurement information comprising information related to positioning of the terminal device, and the target positioning mode being used by the terminal device for performing positioning.
