Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and apparatus for switching a virtualized network function (VNF), for use in resolving the problem of incompatibility between an affinity policy and an HA mechanism in an NFV scenario. The method comprises: an MANO receives a fault message, wherein the fault message is used for indicating a first VNF on which a fault occurs; the MANO determines a main affinity group to which the first VNF belongs and a backup affinity group of the main affinity group, wherein VNFs in the backup affinity group is in a one-to-one correspondence with the VNFs in the main affinity group, and the affinity group indicates a set of VNFs using an affinity policy; and the MANO commands a VNF in the backup affinity group to continue to process a service of a VNF in the main affinity group.
