Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for cryopreserving and thawing cartilage tissue that can increase cell viability in the cartilage tissue to be used for allogeneic osteochondral transplantation. More particularly, the method for cryopreserving and thawing cartilage tissue provides the advantages of maintaining cell viability in the cartilage tissue after cryopreservation to maximize clinical therapeutic efficacy for the regeneration of extensive cartilage defects in allogeneic osteochondral transplantation, and also analyzing the residual amount of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) in a cryopreservation solution.
