Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for detecting the butt position of a weld joint, a device for detecting the butt position of a weld joint, and a method for manufacturing a weld joint using the method for detecting the butt position, whereby the position of a butt part between two members can be detected with good precision at reduced cost. An embodiment of the present invention for achieving this purpose is a method for detecting the butt position of a weld joint, wherein, the direction in which a first member and a second member are arranged being a first direction, and the direction orthogonal to the first direction being a second direction, the first member is provided with a corner and a chamfer, and a two-dimensional displacement sensor is disposed at a position closer to the first member than to a butt part in the first direction, and disposed so that the condition 0° <θs <θa is satisfied, where θs is the angle between the second direction and the optical axis direction of an illuminating light of the two-dimensional displacement sensor, and θa is the angle between the second direction and the direction in which the chamfer of the first member is formed.
