Abstract:
Disclosed is a method and device for controlling anxiety levels using virtual reality. A method for controlling anxiety levels using virtual reality comprises the steps of: identifying a user's first autonomic nervous system response measured in virtual reality corresponding to a reference situation; determining user's anxiety level according to anxiety index by using the identified user's first autonomic nervous system response and the user's second autonomic nervous system response measured in virtual reality in which anxiety indices involved in each of a plurality of different types are randomly provided; identifying a user's third autonomic nervous system response measured in virtual reality similar to the reference situation after the anxiety indices are provided in virtual reality; classifying user's anxiety subtypes by using the determined user's anxiety level and the identified user's third autonomic nervous system response; and generating a treatment protocol for controlling user's anxiety level in the virtual reality on the basis of the classified anxiety subtypes.
