METHOD AND DEVICE FOR UPDATING ALGORITHM

Disclosed are a method and device for updating an algorithm. The method comprises: a network camera receives a deletion instruction having a deletion-pending algorithm container identifier transmitted by a monitoring system; the network camera deletes a deletion-pending algorithm container instance corresponding to the deletion-pending algorithm container identifier; the network device receives a deployment instruction comprising a deployment-pending algorithm description file transmitted by the monitoring system; the network camera parses the deployment-pending description file to obtain at least one file identifier; the network camera acquires at least one deployment-pending algorithm mirror file corresponding to the at least one file identifier; and the network camera generates a deployment-pending algorithm container instance on the basis of the at least one deployment-pending algorithm mirror file. While the network camera is in the process of updating an algorithm, normal operations of the network camera are not affected. The method for updating an algorithm provided in the embodiments of the present application increases the stability of the network camera during the process of updating the algorithm.
