Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a carburized sintered body that allows sintering and carburizing to be performed in a single heating step, eliminates the need to mix additives, and can reduce the cost of additives and shorten the manufacturing time. In a molding step S2, iron alloy powder is press-molded to obtain a compact. In a heating step S4, the compact is sintered and carburized by heating the compact in a temperature range that is equal to or higher than the eutectic temperature and lower than the solidus temperature. In the heating step S4, the compact is heated in a carburizing atmosphere during at least a portion of the heating step S4.
