Abstract:
Provided is a method for accurately measuring an amount of a blood component irrespective of whether the distribution of blood introduced into a capillary is non-uniform. This measuring method is characterized in that an electrode system for measuring a plurality of hematocrit values is provided in a capillary of a bio-sensor, and hematocrit values are measured in mutually different positions within the capillary. Measuring the hematocrit values in a plurality of locations within the capillary in this way enables a more accurate hematocrit value to be measured irrespective of variability in the distribution of blood introduced into the capillary.
