Abstract:

The present invention relates to a method for preparing a polymer, the method comprising the steps of: supplying a monomer stream and a solvent stream to a reactor to prepare a reaction product through a polymerization reaction; supplying a discharge stream from the reactor to a volatilizing apparatus, separating a polymer from a lower portion of the volatilizing apparatus, and branching an upper discharge stream including unreacted monomers, a solvent, and an inert gas into two or more streams and separately supplying the respective streams to a plurality of condensers; condensing the unreacted monomers and the solvent in each condenser and separating them from each condenser, and supplying a gaseous stream to a condenser provided at the rear end of each condenser; and supplying, to a vacuum unit, the gaseous stream discharged from the condenser provided at the rearmost end.
