Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of industrially and inexpensively providing an aromatic compound having an ethynyl group using Sonogashira coupling, with chloronitrobenzene, the raw materials of which are inexpensive, being used as a starting raw material. The present invention is a method for reacting a nitrobenzene and an ethynyl compound through coupling to produce an aromatic compound having an ethynyl group, wherein: the nitrobenzene is represented by general formula (1); the ethynyl compound is represented by general formula (2); the aromatic compound having an ethynyl group is represented by general formula (3); and the coupling reaction is carried out in an organic solvent having a nitrogen atom in the chemical structure thereof, in the presence of an amine, palladium carbon, a phosphorus compound, and a copper compound. In formulas (1), (2), and (3), A represents hydrogen or fluorine, R represents a trialkylsilyl group or a hydrocarbon group having a hydroxyl group, and n represents an integer of 1-3.
