Abstract:
Provided is a simple method for producing a cell concentrate (excluding human blood) in little time, without losing cells and without burdening superfluous cells. Provided is a method for producing a cell concentrate, the method using a cell suspension processor which is an internal pressure filtration format provided with a cell suspension inlet, a filtrate outlet, a cell suspension outlet, and a hollow-fiber separation membrane arranged between the cell suspension inlet and the cell suspension outlet; the method being characterized in that the total cross-sectional area of the hollow-fiber separation membrane is 0.5 to 1.5 cm2, the inside membrane area of the hollow-fiber separation membrane is 0.2 m2 or less, the linear speed of flow through the interior of the hollow-fiber separation membrane is 500 to 1200 cm/min, and the value found by dividing the initial filtration flow rate discharged from the filtrate outlet by the flow rate into the cell suspension inlet is 0.4 to 0.7.
