Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing fibroin-like protein. A method for producing fibroin-like protein including the culture of Escherichia coli having a gene encoding fibroin-like protein in a medium, induction of the expression of the gene encoding fibroin-like protein, and collection of fibroin-like protein, wherein fibroin-like protein is produced by a method characterized by decreasing organic acid accumulation during this induction of expression.
