Abstract:
Provided is a novel reduction technique for oxides, which is capable of having a reduction reaction of an oxide proceed at lower temperatures, while achieving increased energy efficiency and productivity. A method for producing a reduction product according to the present invention is a production method for a reduction product, in which a reduction product is obtained by reducing at least a part of an oxide in a state wherein the oxide and an organic compound are heated. This method for producing a reduction product comprises a reduction step wherein the organic compound in a molten state is brought into contact with the oxide.
