Abstract:
The present invention relates to a compact secondary battery module comprising: a cartridge assembly in which a plurality of cartridges storing cells therein are stacked, the side walls of each cartridge having a plurality of lead overlapping parts, in which the leads of neighboring cells overlap, arranged in a previously set pattern; and a sensing housing which is provided with a plurality of bus bars each positioned to correspond to a lead overlapping part so as to allow welding, and which can be arranged on a side wall of the cartridge assembly, wherein the first lead in each lead overlapping part is shorter than the previously set width of a second lead having the opposite polarity, and with the sensing housing attached to the cartridge assembly, the corresponding bus bar comes into contact with the second lead on actually the same line as the first lead, and the second lead and bus bar are welded.
