Abstract:
This invention addresses the problem of providing a misfire detection device having improved detection reliability, and a vehicle. The misfire detection device is provided with: a rotational speed acquisition unit configured so as to obtain the rotational speed of a rotating solid rotated by a four-stroke engine; a misfire determination unit configured so as to determine, on the basis of the rotational speed of the rotating solid obtained by the rotational speed acquisition unit, whether or not there has been any misfiring of the four-stroke engine; and a cyclic fluctuation detection unit configured so as to detect, on the basis of the rotational speed obtained by the rotational speed acquisition unit, cyclic fluctuation that is included in rotational fluctuation of the four-stroke engine, and that is repeated in the circulation cycle of one element among a winding-motion-transmitting body and a plurality of motion-transmitting wheels, so as to have a plurality of extreme values within the circulation cycle of at least one element.
