Abstract:
A recombinant acyl-CoA synthetase (ACS) is a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence in which at least one among lysine at the 173rd position and lysine at the 174th position in the amino acid sequence of a wild-type ACS represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 is substituted with another amino acid. Accordingly, when an ACS is produced by a genetic engineering method, the rupture of the ACS can be suppressed at the time of being expressed in a host or recovered from a host, and thus a mutant ACS can be favorably recovered from the host. Consequently, a mutant ACS which can be further favorably recovered from a host is obtained.
