Abstract:
A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising: an electrode group including a first electrode that has a first current collector, a second electrode that has a second current collector, and a separator that is interposed between the first and second electrodes; a non-aqueous electrolyte; and a battery case that houses the electrode group and the non-aqueous electrolyte. The first electrode and the second electrode are wound with the separator interposed therebetween, and the outermost circumference of the first electrode is disposed further outward than the outermost circumference of the second electrode. The end of the winding of the first electrode is the end of a surplus portion that is wound onto the outer surface of the first electrode inside so as to bypass the second electrode and the separator. The surplus portion is the exposed portion of the first current collector.
