Title:
NOVEL PROMOTER HASP1 OF PHAEODACTYLUM TRICORNUTUM AND SIGNAL PEPTIDE THEREOF, AND USE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/002630
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel promoter HASP1 for inducing overexpression of a protein in Phaeodactylum tricornutum; a signal peptide HASP1-SP, which is a novel protein secretion sequence for inducing the secretion of the expressed protein; an expression vector comprising the HASP1 and the HASP1-SP; a transformant in which the expression vector has been introduced into a host cell; a method for producing a protein of interest comprising a step of culturing the transformant to obtain a culture; a method for expressing a protein of interest comprising a step of transforming the expression vector into a host cell; and a method for increasing the expression level of a protein of interest in a host cell comprising the step of transforming the expression vector into the host cell. The present invention is expected to be used as a powerful genetic tool capable of significantly increasing the productivity of a recombinant protein by using a novel promoter HASP1 for inducing overexpression of a protein in Phaeodactylum tricornutum , a signal peptide HASP1-SP which is a novel protein secretion sequence for inducing the secretion of the expressed protein, and an expression vector comprising the HASP1 and the HASP1-SP according to the present invention.
