Abstract:
Disclosed is a numeric control program generation method for generating a turning processing-use numeric control program of a product on the basis of cross-section shape data of the product for which recess processing is to be applied in order to recognize groove shape data existing in a vicinity of a corner as a recess cross-section shape, such that groove shape data is extracted from the cross-section shape data, an intersection of a line segment parallel to a turning axis and a line segment not parallel to the turning axis is calculated as a corner of the cross-section shape data, and if the dimensions of a frame including from the corner to the groove shape data is within pre-set dimensions, the groove shape data are recognized as a recess cross-section shape.
