Abstract:
Provided is an occupant restraint device that can adjust the position of an airbag appropriately when the airbag is inflated and deployed. The occupant restraint device is provided with a tensile cloth (2a), both ends of which are respectively fixed to an upper portion and a lower portion of a vehicle seat, that causes an airbag (3) inflated and deployed beside an occupant seated in the seat to come close toward the occupant, wherein the tensile cloth (2a) is joined at a joining part in at least one location on the surface of the airbag (3), and a retaining groove (9a) that retains the tensile cloth (2a) during inflation and deployment is formed in the airbag (3).
