Abstract:
This optical communication device is provided with: an optical switch which outputs an optical signal, which is inputted from any of the multiple transmission paths, to another of the transmission paths; monitoring units which, in transmission paths on the input side where the optical signals are inputted to the optical switch, relay optical signals; a wavelength control unit which, via the monitoring units, assigns to the optical signals of subscriber devices a wavelength, a time, a polarization, a mode, a symbol, a frequency, a core, a core wire or a wavelength that is a combination of these; and an optical switch control unit which, after the wavelength, etc., has been assigned, controls the optical switch such that an optical signal inputted to the optical switch via a transmission path on the input side is outputted to another transmission path.
