Abstract:
According to an optical device including a plurality of pinholes and a head-mounted display device using same, proposed in the present invention, a mirror placed in front of the eyes of a user reflects image light output from a display such that a virtual image reaches the eyes of the user, and a plurality of holes which generate a pinhole effect are formed in the mirror such that the real world can be seen through the field of view of the user. Thus, even if a darkly coated mirror is placed in front, the real world is visible using the pinhole effect. In addition, because a reflection area of the image light is wide, a bright and clear virtual image is delivered to the eyes of the user. Also, the structure of the optical device is simplified for enabling weight reduction and miniaturization.
