Abstract:
An optical fiber (10) is provided with: a core (11); a first clad (12), which is arranged to cover the core (11) and has a refractive index lower than that of the core (11); and a second clad (13), which is arranged to cover the first clad (12) and has a refractive index lower than that of the first clad (12). The first clad (12) is doped with a light attenuation dopant such that the concentration increases from the inner circumference toward the outer circumference.
