Abstract:
The present invention provides an organic electroluminescence (EL) device that can suppress the occurrence of color mixing, and a manufacturing method therefor. The present invention is an organic EL device provided with a substrate and a plurality of organic EL elements disposed on the substrate, wherein the organic EL device is configured as follows: each of the plurality of organic EL elements is provided with a light emitting layer which includes a light emitting material; each of the plurality of light emitting materials can emit a mutually different color of light; one of the plurality of organic EL elements includes a first film that contains the same light emitting material as the light emitting layer of any of the other organic EL elements and that comes into contact with the upper surface of the light emitting layer of the organic EL element, and the one of the plurality of organic EL elements does not include a second film that contains the same light emitting material as the light emitting layer of any of the other organic EL elements and that comes into contact with the lower surface of the light emitting layer of the organic EL element; and the light emitting layer with which the first film is in contact emits light from a portion spaced apart from the upper surface.
