Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of communications, and in particular, to a packet processing method and device. In this solution, a first SFC Proxy of a first SF entity splits a first packet to obtain a first original packet and a first service header; the first SFC Proxy sends the first service header to a second SFF by using a first SFF; the first SF entity processes the first original packet to obtain a second original packet, and sends the second original packet to a service classifier; the service classifier adds a second service header to the second original packet to obtain a second packet and sends the second packet to the second SFF; and the second SFF modifies the second service header in the second packet to the first service header. In this way, the first packet carrying the first service header can be transmitted in the network architecture of a conventional SF, thereby achieving an objective of being compatible with the conventional SF.
