Abstract:
Disclosed is a parallel coupling-type battery pack for an electric vehicle, characterized by: being made so as to determine, as a battery string that is a minimum unit for power supply to an electric vehicle, a battery unit pack made of minimal parallel components and series components to meet the rated voltage and necessary minimum capacity of the electric vehicle, and increase the capacity of the entire battery pack by adding battery strings to be connected in parallel; and being made to include a protection apparatus in each battery string, and control, via one common BMS, the protection apparatuses of all the battery strings constituting the battery pack so as to control all the battery strings that have been coupled in parallel.
