Abstract:
Provided is a peripheral information processing method capable of improving the estimation accuracy of the current location of a moving body. A detection step of this method involves detecting light-transmitting section information corresponding to a light-transmitting section in peripheral information acquired by a sensor (12). A generation step thereof involves generating post-removal information acquired by removing the light-transmitting section information from the peripheral information. As a result, it is possible to estimate the current location of a traveling vehicle (30) by using the post-removal information. When doing so, it is possible to improve estimation accuracy by not using information about the light-transmitting section, the acquired information of which can change.
